Message from the Pastor

missionaries Don and Pat BlockDon & Pat Block

Don & Pat Block were both born and grew up in Michigan. They presently serve with Bibles International, an auxiliary ministry branch of Baptist Mid-Missions, that is involved with translating and printing Bibles for people groups that do not have the Bible in their native language.
Don & Pat have been married for 55 years and have served in missions under Baptist Mid-Missions for 50 years. Prior to their service with Bibles International, Don and Pat served in Haiti and recently were blessed to return for the 35th anniversary celebration of the church they were instrumental in beginning.

Jeff and Deb Minniear have been involved in starting churches in the USA since 1990 with Continental Baptist Missions. They are presently seeking to start a multi-enthnic church in Bowie, Maryland. Previously, they have been privileged to work with and see churches in Port Clinton, OH and in Guilderland, NY grow and graduate from a dependent mission church to a self-supporting church.

Gary and Nancy serve with ACCG (Assisting Christian Camping Globally) Ministry. Their involvement with Christian camp ministries began in 1976 with Scioto Hills Camp ministry in Ohio where they served for 28 years. In 2004 they took all they had learned and went global to assist Christian Camps in other countries through consulting, facility development, training, team building, and teaching national believers camp ministry.

Jim & Karen are involved with ABTS (Asia Biblical Theological Seminary) and serve with the Association of Baptists for World Evangelism. Their ministry headquarters are in Thailand, but Jim travels to Myanmar, Singapore, The Philippines, Papua New Guinea, and India. He travels to provide Bible training to local pastors, Bible teachers, missionaries, and lay leaders in regions where there is no other available education. Their ministry with ABTS began in 2001.

Joe & Noney serve in their native country of Japan in a variety of ministries: Pastor of Bethel Baptist Church in Saitama City, Japan; Principal of Grace Baptist Bible School; Executive Committee member of Baptist Mid-Missions in Japan; and Baptist Video Productions director.

David & Patty ZemmerZemmer 2015 1077 Crop

David and Patty Zemmer began serving in Brazil in 1987 with the Association of Baptist for World Evangelism (ABWE). Dave was a pilot and was certified in aviation maintenance while Patty had a degree in nursing. They have been involved in a variety of ministries that have included church planting, camp ministry, married couples retreats, ladies bible studies, and music. Presently David is teaching biblical counseling at the Bahia Bible College. They desire to develop and train Brazilian believers as Biblical counselors.

Angie Rod 6Rod & Angie Stucky

Rod and Angie Stucky are presently working to develop a multi-ethnic church in Kansas City, KS. They have served under the Association of Baptist for World Evangelism (ABWE) since 1982. The Stucky family has served in the Philippines and in Indianapolis, IN. It was in Indianapolis that they were led to begin a multi-ethnic ministry now known as Indianapolis International Baptist Church.

Tim & Barb Vermilyea

 Tim and Barb Vermilyea are missionaries in the province of Quebec,Vermilyea prayer card
Canada. Located in the Quebec City region they are working to establish
independent local Baptist Churches. Since 2011 they have served as the regional
administrators and oversee the goal of starting churches in Toronto, Montreal,
and Quebec

Odir and Cynthia Brandao serve as missionaries in Sao Paulo, Brazil with teh Association of Baptist for World Evangelism. Sao Paulo is the largest city in Brazil with a population of approximately 20 million people and melting pot of cultures, ethnicities, and ages. Presently they are assisting a young church, New Life Baptist  Church, in areas of teaching, discipleship, leadership training and media/design. Together one of their primary ministries involves youth ministry through small groups, camp ministry and challenging them to serve the local church. Odir assists the local pastor in preaching and pastoral duties. it is their desire to serve in the local church, equipping Brazilians to reach this vibrant city for Christ.
